How Mystira works

  1. Pick a story together

Worlds from toddlers to teens, starting at 3 to 5.

  2. Children lead

    Every choice is theirs.

  3. See who they are

How they choose, shown to you.

One story, many paths

Each choice opens a different path through the story.

The Circle in Lumeria, showing scene art and four story choices
Lumeria's forest creatures gathered in The Circle

The Circle

You sit up. Something is moving between the trees. A light. It pulses and drifts. It is calling to you.

Every eye is still on you.

What do you do?

  1. You jump up. "Do you see that? That light! What IS that? Come on, let's go look!"
  2. You see it. You say nothing. When the creatures lose interest in you, you slip away toward the light alone.
  3. You find the oldest face in the circle. You don't say anything. You just look at him, then at the trees. He nods, slowly, and stands.
  4. You scan the circle. "Who here knows this forest best?" One of them shifts slightly. You point at him. "You. That light is not right. Come with me."

Beneath the magic

What a choice shows

Each choice is noticed. Over months and years, the choices build a picture of who a child is. Children play; the science works invisibly.

A few of the things the stories notice at ages 3 to 5:

  1. Understanding Others' Thoughts

Knowing that if someone was not there, they do not know what happened.

  2. Fairness

Noticing when the fair thing is to give someone a little more.

  3. Accepting Help

    Knowing when they are stuck.
